Actions taken since the last LGF were listed.

A Corporate Update was given stating the works were currently in slowdown in line with the new 'top brass' strategy of focus on copper, iron ore and crop nutrients while the selling or demerging of coal, platinum, debeers was ongoing.  There was no syndication details other than there were talks with more than one party.

The Woodsmith Mine manager presented the construction updates re the slowing of the Tunnel progress with the service shaft put into care and confirmed the MTS shaft SBR was beyond the sandstone with the old winder at Lockwood to be removed and recycled.  Access was now taken by the crew from the Ladycross shaft.

Marketing the product Polyhalite for Cleveland Potash a deal stuck two months ago Anglo were now granulating into the patented Poly 4 at a pilot plant somewhere in Holland.

There followed some recipricol discussion about if the engineering team could take a look at the Whitby Cliff lift.

There then followed some rather heated discussion from members of the public suggesting they should finish one aspect of the project, making reference to the tunnel, and that some stakeholders may have lost confidence that the project would be developed to completion.

A member of the public asked that if they were doing deals with Boulby who claim they can dig 47km annually, why they had bothered with the Underground Tunnel?

The Park Authority was on form, four more holes at potential locations offsite were to be drilled and Boulby had not drilled one hole since 1968.  Back garden stuff with 200m of sterile land around each bore hole.

The S106 contributions under Core Policy D along with security funding for restoration was now into Year 9 and would continue for the next 100 years. Geothermal energy had been explored but the parkies did not want solar power or windfarms to spoil the view.  Landscape and ecology projects including biodiversity, archaelogy, access and public rights of way, enhancing the historic environment and fabric. Traditiional dry stone walling and thatching, styles with gates and flights of steps, together with apprentices and tourism with outreach into employment, education and S106 used to bring in match funding  and something to do with a redgate.
